Case studyFive questions, 81 cities, one single day.
As sponsor of the national team, Turkcell turned the touch screens in 1,500+ stores into one simultaneous football quiz. Visitors in all 81 cities competed on what they knew and how fast they knew it, and the winners' prizes arrived by SMS on their own phones.

Sponsor the excitement, not just the tournament.
Turkcell sponsors the national team. In the international-match window, when football talk peaks across the country, the question was how 1,500+ stores could sponsor the feeling rather than simply carry a logo.
Turkey loves football. More precisely, it loves talking about football and showing off how much it knows. That is a sharper insight than the sport itself, and a logo sitting quietly on a screen does nothing with it.
The screens were already in place: an interactive network reaching every one of the 81 cities. The campaign had to turn a routine store visit into a part of the national excitement, and it had to do so across the whole network at once rather than in a handful of flagship stores.

The screens were already there. We gave them a contest.
Bespoke software turned the existing touch screens in 1,500+ stores into a single, simultaneous quiz, with the reward handed off to the player's phone.

How the bridge worked
- 1
Built for the screens already installed
The quiz was developed specifically for the interactive displays running across the network, so a nationwide campaign needed no new hardware in any of the stores.
- 2
5 questions, scored on speed
Players answered five questions of varying difficulty and earned points on two axes: how many they got right, and how quickly they answered.
- 3
81 cities, one leaderboard
Every store ran the same quiz at the same time, so someone playing in one city was measured against players in all 81, not just against the other visitors in that shop.
- 4
The prize lands on their phone
Winners received their prize by text message to their own number, so the reward travelled from the store screen to the device in their pocket.
87,704 players in a single day.
The quiz ran for one day. In that day it became a genuine reason to walk into a store, and it moved commercial metrics rather than engagement ones alone.

The outcomes
- 1
87,704 players
In a single day on the store screens, 87,704 people played the quiz and competed against the rest of the country.
- 2
150,000 reached on social
The contest carried well past the stores themselves, reaching 150,000 people on social media.
- 3
512 prizes delivered
PlayStations, smartphones, computers, televisions and other prizes all found their winners: 512 gifts in total, each sent by SMS.
- 4
+20% store traffic
Footfall rose by 20% over the campaign. Turkcell also came away with first-party data it could use in future football and sports campaigns.
The hook was not football, it was the urge to prove what you know about football. Turning that into a timed, scored contest against the whole country gave people a reason to walk up to the screen, and putting the prize on their phone gave them a reason to hand over their number.
87,704 players in one day, 512 prizes delivered by SMS, and a 20% lift in store traffic, from five questions on a screen.
